
LIABILITY NOTICE
EVENT PARTICIPATION AND CAMPING LIABILITY:
BY PURCHASING TICKETS TO, ATTENDING, VOLUNTEERING, VENDING OR PERFORMING AT MOUNTAIN ROOTS RENDEZVOUS YOU MAY BE WAIVING YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO HOLD THE PROVIDER LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJU RIES OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM RISKS INHERENT IN RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITY OR FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES, OTHER THAN THOSE ESTABLISHED BY LAW, RESULTING FROM THE REPORTED NEGLIGENCE OF THE PROVIDER.
1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF INHERENT RISKS: Participant acknowledges that attending a festival and camping in Montana involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken. These risks include, but are not limited to:

Environmental Hazards: Uneven terrain, rocks, roots, holes, and slippery conditions.

Weather: Sudden storms, lightning, extreme temperature shifts, and high winds.

Wildlife: Potential encounters with insects, snakes, bears, or other wildlife.

Camping Activities: Risks associated with campfires, tent setup, and limited access to immediate medical facilities.

Crowd Dynamics: Large gatherings, loud noise, and physical contact with other attendees.
2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK: Participant voluntarily assumes all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in the event and camping on the premises.
3. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY: To the maximum extent permitted by Montana law, Participant hereby releases, waives, and discharges Provider (including its officers, employees, and volunteers) from any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, or property damage which may occur as a result of Participant’s presence at the event, except for those damages resulting from Provider’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. By entering the festival grounds, you voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, as well as risks inherent to outdoor events (e.g., uneven terrain, weather).
4. INDEMNIFICATION: Participant agrees to indemnify and hold Mountain Roots Rendezvous harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, or costs (including attorney fees) arising from Participant’s own conduct or the conduct of their guests.
5. MEDICAL CONSENT: Participant authorizes Mountain Roots Rendezvous to seek emergency medical treatment on their behalf if it is deemed necessary. Participants remain solely responsible for all medical costs incurred.
6. Media Consent: Attendees consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded for promotional purposes by Mountain Roots Rendezvous.
7. Vendor Rules & Regulations:

Compliance & Licensing: All food vendors must provide a valid Montana Temporary Food Service Permit at least 14 days before the event.

Zero-Waste Commitment: Vendors are asked to limit use of Styrofoam or single-use plastic bags. All service ware (plates, forks, etc.) must be BPI-certified compostable.

Power & Fire: Vendors must provide their own whisper-quiet generators (under 60 decibels) or pay the festival electrical fee. Each booth must have a tagged and inspected 5lb ABC fire extinguisher.

Load-In/Load-Out: No vendor vehicles are allowed on the festival stage grounds between 10 am Friday July 17th and Sunday July 19th at 10 am. Cleanup must be completed within 4 hours of the festival’s close.

Grey Water: Dumping of fats, oils, grease, or grey water on the ground is strictly prohibited. Use the designated Central Disposal Tank only.
By purchasing tickets and paying vendor fee, you acknowledge you have read and agreed to these rules and regulations!
Minors: Attendees under 18 with parental consent.
